We are...

a Training Provider

Are you looking to train young people, develop life skills, or simply find out if they are suited to a career in the catering industry?
We run a professional training programme to help and support individuals regain their confidence, learn transferable skills through cooking, acquire new knowledge about food and health and the discipline required to work in the industry.

The aim is to deliver a structured course that will enable young people to learn basic techniques and skills in cookery that will last a lifetime!

We are registered as a Training Provider on My World of Work which is brought to you by Skills Development Scotland – Scotland's national skills body.

We also work with vulnerable young people and adults, long term unemployed, schools, over 50's and disadvantaged groups and communities all over Scotland.

Workshops

Energised Lunches©

Feeling sluggish, tired, and slow after your lunch? Well, this workshop is for you! We have put together an informative workshop that takes place on your office premises.

Topics covered are what to eat and drink during your working day and what are the foods and drinks to avoid.
We talk about what goes into your food and why you should know about some of the ingredients that are added.

Health benefits and nutritional values of our workshops have been assessed by

The aim of this workshop is to provide inspiration and practical information that will help you to adopt healthy eating habits and to use food in a medicinal way.

We provide all the ingredients + equipment and we come to you. Both workshops last around 60 minutes

A presentation on the foods and drinks that are beneficial for keeping your energy at optimum levels during your working day.
Participants will learn valuable tips on staying healthy while employers will benefit from a workforce that is aware of the health implications of the food their staff eat during their working day!

Food as Medicine©

An interactive affair where participants will learn about the different ways food is grown and how it can impact us in the long term. We will also cover common foods for common ailments, remember Health is Wealth!

Social Enterprises

We will explain what a social enterprise is and cover the options available to entrepreneurs in setting up a social enterprise, as well as look at available legal structures. This presentation is designed to be highly user-friendly.

Community Interest Companies

We will tackle all issues relating to Community Interest Companies and its relevance to social enterprises. Participants will understand the various legal structures available within the CIC regulations and most importantly be able to make a decision on whether CIC’s are right for their business
